Robert Dworkin and Karen Demchak met in college at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts
in Boston. After Graduating they combined their talents and formed Crown Point Glass. The
studio is a fully equiped glass shop capable of producing one of a kind works unique to their
vision.
Karen began to take painting lessons when she was six. She continued to make art into high
school where she participated in the Education for the Arts program in New Haven, Conn.
During high school she spent a summer at Snow Farm in Western Massachussets where she
studied textiles and jewelry. After High school Karen was accepted into the School of the
Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. During college she focused on stained glass, jewelry and glass
fusing. In 2000 Karen established an interior decorating company called Karen’s Creations that
specialized in faux finishing and murals.
Rob has been working off and on with glasswork for the past ten years (see resume). Currently
working in a style called lampworking he has been creating designs for dichroic glass
jewerly and marbles. In the future look for larger glassworks to be produced in equipment
that he is currently building in the Crown Point Studio.
